Position Overview: Director of Bible Christian Studies

  • Employment Type: Full Time Permanent
  • Role Summary: We are in search of a seasoned and dedicated Christian educator to oversee our Bible Christian Studies program. This key position is essential for developing and implementing our curriculum, fostering spiritual growth among students, and creating a Christ-centered educational atmosphere throughout the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation, execution, and assessment of the Bible Christian Studies curriculum for all grade levels.
  • Provide spiritual guidance within the school, coordinating worship services and various spiritual initiatives.
  • Instruct Bible Christian Studies classes, exemplifying effective teaching methodologies.
  • Support and mentor educators in delivering Bible Christian Studies, providing professional development and resources.
  • Ensure the incorporation of Christian principles throughout the school's curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Engage with families, local churches, and the broader community to enhance students' spiritual journeys.
  • Organize events that encourage Christian fellowship and community service.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant degree in theology, Christian education, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in teaching Bible Christian Studies or a comparable subject in an educational setting.
  • Proven track record in curriculum development and spiritual leadership.
  • A mature and active Christian faith with a strong dedication to the mission and values of St George Christian School.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to leadership.

Essential Criteria:

  • A personal commitment to faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Active participation in a Church or Christian community, embodying Christian beliefs and practices.
  • Acceptance of the school's Statement of Faith.
  • Ability to foster cooperative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students, and families.
  • Commitment to personal best practices.
  • Ensure decision-making is based on facts and is fair and impartial.
  • Model appropriate communication channels.
  • Act in the best interest of the school and its ethos.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures established by the school.
  • Possess a First Aid certificate.
  • Hold a Working With Children Card.
