Avoidance and Monitoring Expert

We are seeking a seasoned professional to manage the entire lifecycle of customer due diligence for new client onboarding within investment banking. As an expert in risk mitigation, you will oversee all phases of the Know Your Customer process.

About this role
  • You will lead the end-to-end KYC process ensuring compliance with global and local regulations, performing initial screening, gathering and reviewing necessary documents, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Manage escalations, identify risks, monitor issues until resolution, and coordinate offshore teams for timely account openings.
  • Develop team performance metrics, provide business insights, and monitor approvals and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in KYC or AML roles within financial services is required, including complex scenarios involving various entity types.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Dodd-Frank, FATCA, MIFID, and Australian regulations is essential.
  • Expertise in KYC systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office are necessary.
