Mental Health Support Worker Opportunity at LME Care

LME Care, a leading mental health support provider, is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Mental Health Support Workers in the Indooroopilly area. Our mission is to provide exceptional care and support to individuals suffering from mental health issues, creating a safe and nurturing environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to individuals with mental health conditions, promoting their overall well-being and recovery journey.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities and personal care, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Support clients in accessing community resources and services, helping them navigate the mental health system.
  • Monitor and report on client progress and behavior, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, including confidentiality and privacy regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs, enhancing your skills and knowledge in mental health support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with the team.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a mental health support role, with a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices.
  • At least one of the following certifications: MAYBO, TCI, or CPI, or Certification in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, with a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Current working with children check and National Police Check.
