Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to individuals with mental health conditions, promoting their overall well-being and recovery journey.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities and personal care, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Support clients in accessing community resources and services, helping them to build a strong support network.
  • Monitor and report on client progress and behavior, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, including confidentiality and privacy regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs, staying up-to-date with best practices in mental health support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a mental health support role, with a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices.
  • At least one out of: MAYBO, TCI, or CPI certification, or Certification in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle, with a current working with children check and National Police Check.
