About Our Facilities Team

The Facilities Manager is a pivotal role that oversees the safe and high-quality operations, performance, and maintenance of our residential and commercial buildings and properties.

This position plays a critical part in ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and meet the highest standards of safety and quality.

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of maintenance staff who execute frontline repairs and maintenance of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and develop our maintenance team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support organizational decision making on the development and acquisition of assets.
  • Optimize the operations and financial performance of each property by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of properties, repairs, and maintenance, adherence to occupational health and safety policies, tenant information, inspection checklists, turn-over checklists, deeds, surveys, leases, and hazardous materials protocols.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Manage comprehensive records for all properties and tenants in our software platform.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors on projects to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Maintain accurate financial statements and identify expense anomalies.
  • Pursue excellence in providing high-quality and safe services to our tenants.
  • Develop and implement planned maintenance programs for properties and units.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a management role.
  • Valid and up-to-date Criminal Record Check.
  • Valid and up-to-date CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Current Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Experience in building operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace regulations, ordinances, and legislation.
Work Environment:
  • 24/7/365 availability to respond to emergency situations.
  • Travel to multiple sites.
  • Safety equipment required for work.
  • Exposure to construction sites, at times loud.
