Job Overview

The role of Collections Team Leader is pivotal in directing and evolving a team of Collections Specialists to achieve collection activities and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the operational end-to-end management of day-to-day collections duties and processes.
  • Proactively enhance collections processes, policies, and manuals to ensure compliance and excellent customer service.
  • Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the collections team.
  • Maintain accurate records for interactions, contact details, collections work, and other activities related to customer management.
  • Present weekly collections data and manage partner relationships.
  • Train, mentor, and manage team members in the collections department.
  • Ensure tasks and duties are allocated to meet monthly efficiency and compliance targets.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of debt collection and associated legal obligations.
  • Self-motivated and commercially-minded individual with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Sound understanding of Debt Collection Guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Experience in a debt recovery role and people management.
