Transport Operations & Logistics, Trades is a vital role requiring technical and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient freight services by maintaining locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant, and infrastructure to the required safety and reliability standards.
About the Role:- Conduct routine and corrective maintenance, as well as fault repair in accordance with prescribed methods and best practices
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, legislative policies, and technical and operational specifications
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to asset condition, maintenance programs, and costs
- Report actual work performed against the scheduled work program
- Implement and improve work procedures and practices to ensure quality enhancement
The ideal candidate will possess an electrical license, experience in repairing and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock, and strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. They will also have excellent communication skills and knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and instructions.
