Senior Infrastructure Leader

This role involves leading and managing the delivery of infrastructure projects, requiring strong project management capabilities, technical expertise, and the ability to mentor staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage teams responsible for infrastructure maintenance and rehabilitation projects.
  • Act as the representative on construction contracts and oversee procurement, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Provide high-level technical and engineering advice to ensure project success and adherence to standards.
  • Monitor progress reporting, financial forecasting, and quality assurance.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of project documentation, ensuring alignment with safety, environmental, and legislative requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, including supervision in line with professional requirements.
Requirements

You must be a Registered Professional Engineer with significant experience managing road infrastructure projects. You should have solutions-focused, collaborative, and highly organized approach, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

  • Demonstrated experience managing the full lifecycle of road infrastructure projects, particularly in urban and high-speed environments.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement processes, and tender evaluation.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, manage expectations, and address public enquiries.
  • Sound knowledge of project governance, safety protocols, and relevant legislation and standards.
