Principal Project Manager

We are seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the planning and delivery of rehabilitation, maintenance, and safety improvement works across the region.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage infrastructure maintenance and rehabilitation projects from design through to delivery
- Represent the organization on construction contracts and oversee procurement, tendering, and contract administration
- Provide high-level technical and engineering advice to ensure project success, value for money, and adherence to standards
- Monitor progress reporting, financial forecasting, and quality assurance
- Oversee project documentation and ensure alignment with safety, environmental, and legislative requirements
- Built effective working relationships with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and the community
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, including supervision in line with RPEQ requirements
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) registration
- Significant experience managing road infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement processes, and tender evaluation
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, manage expectations, and address public enquiries
This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in managing road infrastructure projects located in or around the Gold Coast region.
