Salary

This Senior Policy Officer position offers a salary ranging from $116,211 to $128,061 per annum, plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

Job Description

This role sits in the National Policy Reform team and is responsible for developing and reviewing strategic national and state policy and advice for government and non-government schools and post-secondary education. You will undertake high-level research, including the scoping of policy proposals and the development of policy options, which the Department can rely on for effective decision-making.

You will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to ensure that the best possible outcomes are achieved for NSW.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
  • High level organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads, work well under pressure, and organise own work to meet competing and tight deadlines.
  • The ability to easily develop and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Keen to come into the role and take initiative and effect change.
