We're seeking an Associate Principal Electrical Engineer to join our leadership team in data center projects. As a senior leader, you'll drive strategic vision for our electrical engineering practice, leading complex projects across the Asia-Pacific region. This role demands technical excellence and strong leadership, where you'll mentor multidisciplinary teams while building client relationships at the highest levels.

In this position, you'll provide key insights and direction to advance innovative solutions, ensuring Arup remains at the forefront of delivering exceptional data center projects. Your influence will extend beyond technical design, as you'll shape project delivery, secure business growth, and champion Arup's values.

The Opportunity
  • Lead high-profile data center projects, managing design and execution of advanced electrical systems, aligning with client expectations and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to address unique data center needs, ensuring optimal performance in power distribution, lighting, and communication systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Represent Arup in client-facing engagements, offering expert advice and insights contributing to project success and long-term relationships.
  • Drive growth and development of Arup's electrical engineering practice, contributing to business development, project acquisition, and shaping the firm's strategic direction in the data center space.
  • Assume primary responsibility for overall quality and execution of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to rigorous standards and timely delivery within budget.

About You
  • Recognized tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Electrical Engineering within a consulting environment, with a proven track record of leadership in large-scale data center projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in designing, developing, and delivering complex electrical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to the strategic direction of a business.
  • Expertise in industry-standard software and design tools relevant to Electrical Engineering.
