Food Preparation Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Food Preparation Specialist to join our kitchen team at a leading aged care service.
Job Responsibilities- To prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals with precision and creativity;
- To maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, equipment, appliances, utensils, and fixtures in accordance with standard cleaning and infection control processes;
- To keep accurate records of key kitchen data including stock levels and ordering requirements;
- To collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth food preparation operations;
- To contribute ideas for menu development and special events.
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation, cooking processes, food hygiene control, and cleaning chemicals used in a kitchen environment;
- Minimum one-year experience as a commercial cook in a hygiene-controlled environment;
- Previous experience working within the Aged Care industry is highly regarded;
- Solid understanding of food safety legislation, texture modification, and special needs diets.
