We are currently hiring a Relief Community Manager / Relief Cook. This dual role supports both community operations and kitchen duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Community Operations: Oversee day-to-day management of the community, ensuring high standards in cleanliness, maintenance, resident satisfaction, and occupancy.
- Kitchen & Catering: Prepare and serve quality meals, manage stock and food safety, and maintain a clean, compliant kitchen and dining area.
- Resident Engagement: Foster a welcoming environment, support social activities, and build positive relationships with residents while respecting their privacy.
- Team Leadership: Lead and support staff, provide feedback, manage rosters, and ensure contractors meet service expectations.
- Administration & Compliance: Handle tenancy paperwork, maintain accurate records, and ensure adherence to legislation, policies, and safety standards.
- Health & Safety: Conduct daily site audits, manage risks, and ensure safe use of chemicals and equipment in line with WHS and food safety requirements.
- Current First Aid Certificate, Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain), and a valid 'C' class driver's licence
- Proven ability to manage staff, give constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with residents and stakeholders.
- Strong decision-making skills, ability to respond to emergencies, and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Passion for cooking in volume, understanding of HACCP and food safety standards, and commitment to delivering high-quality meals.
- Self-motivated, well-presented, able to work unsupervised, and collaborate positively with the broader team.
- Comfortable with lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and using kitchen and cleaning equipment safely with PPE.
