Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Disability Service Manager to oversee the full operation of our SIL & Respite accommodations in Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for staff rostering and adjustment, management of staff and data/records, and ensuring the health and well-being of staff and participants.
Key Responsibilities- Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of services, ensuring they are safe, respectful, client-centred, and aligned with individualized assessments and plans.
- Client Intake and Assessment & Support: Facilitate the intake and assessment of new clients to the service, including writing service agreements and interpreting NDIS line items.
- Budget and Planning: Develop and manage the SIL / Respite facility budget, ensuring financial sustainability and exploring funding opportunities.
- Participation in Household Duties: Develop suitable and sustainable long-term community-based living options.
- Staff Management: Ensure the coordination, guidance, support, and performance management of individual staff members.
- Data and Records Management: Comply with legislative and administrative requirements in the creation, handling, and reporting of information regarding clients, staff, and service delivery.
- Occupational Health Safety and Welfare: Implement and monitor all policies, procedures, and work practices in line with WHS legislations and organization requirements.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, relevant community organizations, and other practitioners.
- At least five years of experience in a management role in disability respite care or similar.
- Previous management experience working with a NDIS provider is essential.
- A diploma in a related field of community services, disability, social or equivalent.
- Experience in managing a team and coordination with team leaders and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of the compliances requirements within the NDIS framework.
- Experience in conflict management and resolution.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to the SIL houses and Respite Facilities.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check.
- Current First aid and CPR certificate.
- Current Victorian Driver's License.
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 6 months.
