The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance and Operations Manager to join our team in Berlin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. They will also provide administrative support and work closely with our Director of Programs and Managing Director.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures;
  • Support the Program Director in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning;
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards;
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration;
  • Coordinate audits and financial reporting;
  • Collect and organize receipts and expenses;
  • Collaborate with our parent organization's finance team;
  • Support the finance team in uploading expenses to our online finance tool;
  • Communicate with and manage bank accounts;
  • Prepare and submit payment authorization forms;
  • Administer credit card reconciliations and reimbursement requests;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records;
  • Assist in the development of organizational budgets and financial plans.

Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
  • Demonstrated experience providing financial support in the non-profit sector;
  • Experience with grant management and donor reporting;
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization;
  • Experience in developing and implementing financial policies;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
