Job Overview

The Property, Security and Information Management Branch is a vital part of the Corporate Group in the Chief Operating Officer Stream.

We work closely with business areas to enable them to deliver their business outcomes. We support the Secretary, as the Accountable Authority, and the department Executive, to meet their obligations in relation to property, security, information management and business continuity.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the Department's property portfolio by focusing on achieving value for money in leasing costs, providing a safe, secure and effective working environment that encompasses a flexible approach.
  • Implement the Property Portfolio Strategy that focuses on leasing opportunities, financial efficiencies, design of office accommodation and fitouts, business continuity and emergency control.

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Oversee financial and procurement activities for the property portfolio, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement rules and processes.
  2. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
