Personal Lines Claims Specialist

The purpose of this role is to handle complex claims with professionalism and promptness.

  • Investigate, reserve, and adjust personal lines claims effectively.
  • Communicate with customers, brokers, and other stakeholders to resolve claims efficiently.
  • Adhere to industry regulations and best practices in claims handling.

The ideal candidate will have experience in property claims, strong negotiation skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a representative for the company while visiting customers.
  • Make informed evaluations of damage and quantum.
  • Build relationships with brokers and service providers.
  • Identify potential fraud and subrogation issues.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification (Degree preferred)
  • Relevant Industry Qualifications (ANZIIF) or studying towards
  • 3+ years experience in handling Property Claims
  • Written and verbal communication related to claims handling
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent Customer Service Ethic
  • Ability to influence and negotiate
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Ability to manage self and time effectively
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
