Recovery Support Specialist

Richmond Fellowship Queensland is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Support Worker to join our team in Ipswich.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with mental health challenges, supporting them on their recovery journey.
As a Recovery Support Worker, you will provide non-clinical psychosocial support to individuals with mental illness, helping them to achieve their identified goals and aspirations.
You will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to develop professional working relationships and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting clients through hospital discharge preparation and follow-up recovery support at home.
- Visiting clients in hospitals and supporting them to plan for their transition to the community.
- Working alongside clients to achieve goals identified in their Personal Recovery Plans.
- Actively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support clients with skill development, capacity building, and community connections.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a human services related field with at least one year of relevant experience, or less formal qualifications with substantial years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness.
- A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle.
- Ability to undergo criminal history screening and obtain and maintain a valid NDIS worker screening clearance.
