Job Title: Operational Manager

The role of Operational Manager involves overseeing the daily operations of a business, ensuring that all aspects of the organization are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and quality.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and develop a team of operational staff to ensure they reach their full potential
    • Ensure the team manage rental arrears, vacancies, tenancy inspections, lease renewals, and address specific requirements unique to the community housing sector
    • Develop strategies to maintain consistent standards in line with national policy and procedure
    • Proactively manage stakeholder relationships, including funders, and respond to escalated issues
    • Contribute to developing and implementing strategies that connect tenants to additional support by participating in tenant feedback and managing informal and formal appeals and complaints
  • Requirements for Success:
    • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in community or public housing sector
    • Prior experience in leadership and operational management
    • Ability to manage multiple projects often with conflicting deadlines
    • Strong administration skills and the ability to utilise Microsoft Office and a CRM package
    • Exceptional relationship management skills
    • High-level customer service focus
    • Tertiary qualification gained in social work, business, or related field
  • Before Starting Work:
    • Undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks
    • Have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people
