Electrical Project Manager Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Electrical Project Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing electrical design and supply scope packages to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and specification compliance.

Your primary focus will be on planning, directing, and managing electrical design and supply activities of suppliers and interfacing with other project stakeholders. You will also delegate tasks to a multi-disciplinary project team and manage to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and drive key design and supply activities of suppliers and interface with other project stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Delegate tasks to a multi-disciplinary project team and manage to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Ensure Supplier's deliverables and interrelated work are completed sequentially and in accordance with the contract and the project's key delivery dates.
  • Communicate outputs and guide action based on the identification of any impacts on schedule, quality, and cost, and mitigation of impacts and reporting as required.
  • Share regular progress reports with stakeholders and clients.
  • Resolve issues or delays, reduce the risk of delays, and prevent cost overruns.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to solve technical, budget, and time constraints.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management / Electrical Engineering; Professional Engineer is an advantage.
  • Experience in the procurement of electrical plant and equipment for large infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management expertise and experience in contract management and schedule interpretation.
  • Considerable experience managing all aspects of the delivery of design and supply scope for large-scale projects.
  • Able to use initiative and solve problems through analytical thinking.
