Key Role: Legal Entity Governance

A pivotal position in ensuring the Firm's legal entities operate effectively, providing timely and accurate reporting to external stakeholders, and collaborating with Businesses across the Group to drive growth.

Job Summary:

As a key member of the Legal Entity Controller team, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of monthly results and financial statements for head office submissions. You will also be involved in preparing, reviewing, and finalizing monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory and statistical returns, as well as investigating and responding to regulator queries.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and ensure the accuracy of the monthly results and financial statements of the legal entities for head office submissions
  • Involvement in preparation, review, and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory and statistical returns (ASX, APRA, RBNZ)
  • Investigation and response to regulator queries
  • Support production of annual financial statements
  • Partnering with external auditors during the annual audit
  • Ensure controls are operating effectively
  • Focus on continuous improvement of processes and controls
  • Oversight and guidance of offshore support staff involving regular communications
  • Provision of management information to senior stakeholders
  • Ad-hoc assistance to the broader LEC team and Senior Financial Officer as necessary
