Key Position Summary:

The Commercial Finance Analyst is a pivotal business partner, providing critical financial insights and reporting to senior leaders and various business units. This role requires a unique blend of analytical expertise, exceptional stakeholder engagement, and commercial acumen.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver in-depth business performance analyses, focusing on inventory management, pricing strategies, and gross margin optimization.
  • Develop strong client-focused relationships and demonstrate the ability to interpret complex data relationships linked to operational processes.
  • Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities using advanced tools like Oracle EPM.
  • Prepare weekly executive reports and respond to finance-related inquiries across the organization.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Assist in evaluating potential acquisition opportunities through sophisticated financial modeling and support executive presentations and negotiations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across finance and operational teams.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, analytical, and commercially savvy with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Background in Big 4 or mid-tier audit/transaction services with experience in a relevant industry sector.
