About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to provide neuropsychological assessment and management for children and adolescents. The successful applicant will work independently as well as effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish research and service goals.
The primary purpose of this position is to deliver high-quality clinical care in line with research protocols while also adhering to safe clinical practice.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and management plans for children and adolescents.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with patients, patient families, and schools to ensure best clinical outcomes.
- Conduct research studies, develop research protocols, and assist with the analysis and publication of findings.
- Deliver clinical care in line with research protocols while maintaining safe clinical practices.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve research and service objectives.
- Provision of clinical neuropsychology assessments for children and adolescents, including ability in administration, interpretation, and report writing for a wide range of psychometric tests.
- Implementation and provision of clinical neuropsychological assessments efficiently and effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with current research methods and contribute to the development of new knowledge in the field.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, adapting style to suit diverse audiences, including patients and staff.
- Showcase a strong research track record, including experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS) and peer-reviewed publications.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum 2-year full-time equivalent postgraduate degree in Clinical Neuropsychology or related field.
- Current registration as a psychologist with AHPRA and endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology or eligibility to progress to same.
- Proven experience working independently and collaboratively within a team environment to achieve research and service goals.
- Demonstrated expertise in providing clinical neuropsychology assessments for children and adolescents.
- Ability to implement and provide clinical neuropsychological assessments efficiently and effectively.
- Experience conducting research and staying current with research methods.
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, adapting style to suit diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated research statistical experience and strong research track record, including peer-reviewed publications.
