The Voith Group is seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to oversee the erection of the Balance of Plant Mechanical (BoPm) scope of the Snowy project. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the work is conducted safely, in accordance with quality standards, schedule, budget, and project specifications.
Your Key Responsibilities- Plan and optimize work scope, including preparing installation work packages and participating in the development of optimization methods for assembly.
- Analyze and identify potential safety and quality risks, and mitigate them in planning and execution.
- Effectively communicate work plans with subcontractors and monitor and report progress.
- Identify non-conformities and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Proactively identify, report, and document scope deviations, risks, and chances.
- Collect One Point Lessons (OPL) and report improvement opportunities.
- Review subcontractor's labor, materials, and equipment, and establish a safe working environment.
- Ability to drive project success with a focus on HSE, quality, schedule, and budget.
- Previous demonstrated experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the field of large hydro power projects or in similar industries.
- Proficient technical and operational knowledge of balance of plant mechanical systems.
- Collaborative team player with a customer- and people-oriented approach, accountable, and solution-driven.
- Proactive mindset in anticipating challenges and delivering strategic problem-solving solutions.
- Fully computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Able to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test, and police check.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb as necessary.
- Ability to work in an underground environment for an extended period.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
- A typical roster of 14 days in, 7 days out.
- Camp accommodation is provided.
