About the Opportunity


Isadraulics Pty Ltd, a part of Questas Group, is seeking a Senior Trade Apprentice to join their team in Mount Isa, North West Queensland.



Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for rebuilding damaged hydraulic cylinders, pumps and valves, maintaining hydraulic power units and systems, and fault finding hydraulic circuits and control systems.



  • Rebuilding damaged hydraulic components requires precision and attention to detail.
  • Maintaining hydraulic power units and systems involves ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Fault finding hydraulic circuits and control systems requires strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Installing hydraulic power units, tubes and hoses requires manual dexterity and physical stamina.
  • Modifying hydraulic systems and operations for improved performance requires creativity and technical expertise.
  • Operating machinery to produce parts by turning, boring, milling, honing, grinding or drilling metal stock or components requires strong mechanical skills and attention to safety protocols.
  • Carrying out welding repairs and fabricating sub-frames requires knowledge of welding techniques and materials science.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is crucial for employee well-being and regulatory compliance.
  • Developing a good understanding of fits, finishes and tolerances requires strong mathematical and spatial reasoning skills.
  • Maintaining an apprentice log book to a high standard requires strong organizational and time management skills.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a minimum Year 10 High School Certificate, demonstrate high levels of initiative and self-motivation, have good mathematical and mechanical skills, and enjoy technical work.
