Plumbing Apprentice Job Description

Are you looking to start a rewarding career in plumbing? East Coast Apprenticeships is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a plumbing apprentice.

As a plumbing apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop a range of skills, including:

  • Assisting with the installation of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, and appliances.
  • Learning how to diagnose and fix plumbing issues like leaks, blockages, and faulty fixtures.
  • Developing the skill to read and understand plumbing blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Helping with pipe fitting tasks, such as measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes using methods like soldering, brazing, or welding.
  • Participating in excavation and trenching work when needed to access underground plumbing systems.
  • Collaborating with a team of other tradespeople, like Electricians and Carpenters, to coordinate tasks, communicate effectively, and make sure projects are done efficiently.
  • Taking care of plumbing materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Following safety protocols, regulations, and guidelines to keep yourself and others safe on the job.
  • Learning about the local codes, regulations, and industry standards that apply to plumbing work.
