Plumbing Trade Assistant

Are you interested in a career in plumbing? East Coast Apprenticeships is seeking a Plumbing Trade Assistant to join our team. As a Plumbing Trade Assistant, you will assist with the installation of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, and appliances. You will also learn how to diagnose and fix plumbing issues like leaks, blockages, and faulty fixtures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation of plumbing systems
  • Learn how to diagnose and fix plumbing issues
  • Develop skills in reading and understanding plumbing blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Participate in excavation and trenching work when needed
  • Collaborate with a team of other tradespeople
  • Take care of plumbing materials, tools, and equipment
  • Follow safety protocols, regulations, and guidelines
  • Learn about local codes, regulations, and industry standards

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in plumbing
  • A current Drivers License and own reliable transport
  • Completed work experience is highly desirable
  • Physically fit, self-disciplined, and have high attention to detail
  • Reliable, resilient, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to take direction and take the safety of yourself and your team members seriously
  • Eagerness to learn
