Job Title: Senior Campaigner

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to lead the development and implementation of campaign strategies, build strong relationships with movement allies, and convene coalitions to shift the public story on gas.

About the Role:

This is a senior role within our Australian Gas team, focused on preventing gas expansion and driving climate action.

  • Develop and implement campaign strategies to prevent gas expansion;
  • Build strong relationships with movement allies, including frontline First Nations communities and grassroots groups;
  • Convene and facilitate coalitions to build alignment and shift power;
  • Design and evaluate grant proposals to advance campaign goals;
  • Shape narrative strategies and campaign communications;
  • Integrate justice, equity, diversity and inclusion into strategy and planning;
  • Contribute to the overall work and culture of the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of leading campaigns that delivered real-world change, experience in convening and facilitating coalitions, and excellent communication skills in campaigning. You should also possess strong strategy development skills and be able to collaborate across organisations and communities in high-stakes contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the issues surrounding gas expansion and the importance of taking action to address climate change. They will be able to think strategically and develop effective campaign plans, as well as build strong relationships with key stakeholders. The candidate should also be an excellent communicator and be able to distill complex information into clear and concise messaging.
