Financial Director

NRM South is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to lead and direct all aspects of its financial operations.
The successful candidate will operate across all aspects of the NRM South business, contributing to strategy and direction setting, identifying and implementing growth pathways, and operational business and improvement.
The Finance Manager will report to and work closely with the CEO to provide the Leadership Team, Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee, the Board, Auditors, program teams, and other employees and key stakeholders with robust financial management.
The role will encompass guiding the identification and execution of growth and change strategies, streamlining operational business processes and improvements, and ensuring robust financial governance.
The Finance Manager will oversee a range of financial management services, including budget planning, payroll management, and financial reporting, to facilitate the organisation's financial health and operating efficiency.
The position will also play a crucial role in mentoring and supporting the professional development of the operational Finance Officer, fostering a collaborative and effective finance team.
NRM South is a not-for-profit organisation with a partnership delivery model, delivering projects on behalf of Australian and Tasmanian Governments, and through investment from local, business, and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct all aspects of NRM South's financial operations
- Contribute to strategy and direction setting, identifying and implementing growth pathways
- Operate across all aspects of the NRM South business, including finance, audit, and risk management
- Provide robust financial management to the Leadership Team, Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee, the Board, Auditors, program teams, and other employees and key stakeholders
- Guide the identification and execution of growth and change strategies
- Streamline operational business processes and improvements
- Ensure robust financial governance
- Oversee a range of financial management services, including budget planning, payroll management, and financial reporting
- Mentor and support the professional development of the operational Finance Officer
What We Offer
NRM South offers a competitive salary of $119,995-131,793 per year, excluding superannuation, and a flexible FTE load of 1-4 days/week.
