Lead Maintenance Professional

This role involves overseeing key maintenance and engineering functions. It is a pivotal position responsible for ensuring guest safety, comfort, and satisfaction while safeguarding the owner's investment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional support to senior staff in meeting property goals.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance to maintain high standards for a positive guest experience.
  • Manage maintenance requests and analyze the system regularly to identify areas for improvement.
  • Delegate tasks to team members or contractors as required.
  • Champion resource efficiency and conservation efforts.
  • Routine testing of fire alarms and emergency lighting systems as required by local authorities.
  • Liaise with senior staff regarding contractor use, expenditure control, and work quality.
  • Ensure cost-effective rubbish removal and monitor hotel cleanliness.
  • Collaborate closely with front desk and housekeeping to expedite room turnovers.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Engineer (preferred)
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems
  • Health and safety regulations knowledge
  • Australian Standards familiarity
  • Body/Owners Corporation Experience
  • Project management skills
