Electrical Maintenance Expert

This role is focused on ensuring the reliability of our manufacturing plant to meet key performance indicators in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in establishing and maintaining optimal levels of spares, maximizing line efficiencies through effective planned maintenance programs, and reducing equipment failure rates through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Role

  • Ensure prompt, safe, and efficient resolution of plant and equipment breakdowns
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining an optimum level of spares
  • Maximize line efficiencies through the establishment of an effective planned maintenance program
  • Monitor equipment failure rate, analyze data, and drive root cause analysis & initiatives to continuously improve performance
  • Reduce the total number of quarantine investigations through machinery faults
  • Reduce rework generation through machinery faults
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving & root cause analysis to improve equipment efficiency
  • Establish enhanced collaborative working culture across all shifts
  • Assist in providing coaching to direct electrical team to ensure they are developing and have clear growth pathways for their career development

Requirements

  • Experience within the FMCG industry
  • Excellent communication skills, high-level interpersonal skills, and sound judgment
  • Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and handle competing priorities
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Able to influence, manage, and challenge ideas and existing business processes
  • Experience in implementing systems and process changes
  • Experience in managing projects
  • Sound knowledge across the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in managing maintenance operations utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Comprehensive understanding of maintenance planning, including budget control
  • Electrical trade or engineering qualifications or equivalent professional experience in the field of engineering is desirable
