About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Major Development Services Manager to lead our team in delivering complex commercial strategies, land agreements, and water and wastewater servicing strategies for new housing and developments.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering the Government's Housing Roadmap, enabling economic and housing growth in South Australia while fostering positive outcomes for SA Water, the South Australian Government, and the state's housing industry.

Key responsibilities include building and leading an effective team, developing and implementing strategies to position SA Water as the supplier of choice for water, wastewater, and recycled water services, and growing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to drive successful land development outcomes and customer services.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Finance, Law, Commerce, utility services management, or significant relevant experience.
  • Experience in a similar role within the development or infrastructure industry, with a proven track record in leading teams to achieve complex outcomes.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders while managing agreements and resolving disputes.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise responses to stakeholders.
  • Understanding of economic drivers in the public sector, along with experience in account management and continuous improvement.
