Job Title: Student Advisor Team Leader

This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of international students. As a Student Advisor Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing student advising services, including cultural acclimatization and general academic concerns.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate student advising services, ensuring that all students receive timely and professional support.
  • Assist with the supervision of the team on academic and financial intervention and problem-solving.
  • Provide knowledge of in-house mental health services for students as well as students' health.
  • Ensure special duty of care is followed for underage students on campus with regular check-ins.
  • Support the preparation of new student intake (ELICOS & VET).
  • Act as a point of contact for walk-in students, conduct school tours, and ensure successful conversion.
  • Facilitate student extensions.
  • Create and revise invoices and payment plans.
  • Issue COEs and work with the school's database system.
  • Support special national projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in an international college or school.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Effective and clear written and oral communication in English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent technical skills (database, Microsoft 365, etc).
  • Able to respond appropriately and promptly to various enquiries from current and prospective students, agents, and sales teams.
  • Ability to find information and problem-solve.
  • Collaborative work style with other departments.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage time and systems.
  • Patient, empathetic, and approachable demeanor.
  • Maintain composure and professional behavior at all times, especially while under pressure.
