As a Clearance Broker, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless and compliant international shipments through customs and regulatory processes.
The key to success lies in your ability to collaborate with customers, government agencies, and internal teams to facilitate efficient customs clearance operations and maintain regulatory compliance.
- You will handle end-to-end customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
- Reviewing customs documentation, classifying goods according to customs regulations, and determining duty rates and tax liabilities will be essential skills required for this role.
- Resolving customs-related issues and providing exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and proactively resolving any clearance issues will be crucial in maintaining a high level of satisfaction among clients.
Requirements include:
- A secondary education or equivalent is necessary to excel in this position.
- A minimum of three years of work experience in Customs is required, with at least two years at Fed Ex/TNT being preferred for Lead level candidates.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, procedures, and trade compliance is vital to succeed as a Clearance Broker.
- Proficiency in customs clearance software and online customs portals is also required.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential to thrive in this role.
Preferred qualifications include proven expertise in planning & organizing, with a strong accuracy & attention to detail.
