Housing Support Specialist

About the Role:
- Support individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Geraldton, utilising a Housing First approach to provide effective solutions.
- Collaborate with relevant services to ensure seamless support for those sleeping rough, including health, employment, financial management, and social assistance.
- Offer ongoing tenancy maintenance support to housed clients.
- Provide outreach services at multiple locations.
- Promote stakeholder engagement through facilitating meetings.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience working with people facing homelessness or related challenges.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local health, mental health, AOD, legal, housing, and mainstream support services.
- Familiarity with issues affecting First Nations people, homelessness, intergenerational trauma, and cultural sensitivity is essential.
- Strong communication skills are required, both verbally and written.
- The ability to drive a heavy-duty craft van is necessary.
- A non-judgmental and welcoming approach towards clients is crucial.
- Able to work within our organisation's philosophy and ethos.
