Clinical Leader: Providing Guidance and Leadership in a Counselling Team


Job Description

As a Clinical Leader, you will provide professional leadership and management of child protection counselling staff. You will be responsible for leading and overseeing counselling services for improving emotional, social, and mental wellbeing of children, young people, parents/carers, and their families.

Key responsibilities include providing trauma-informed interventions and responses, coordinating cases, including intake, assessment, case planning, and referral functions, as well as advocating, liaising, and consulting with clients and stakeholders. Collaborating across services to ensure clients receive necessary services is also essential.

Our ideal candidate has a Social Work degree or Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, along with experience in providing guidance and leadership in a counselling team. Demonstrated communication skills, negotiation, complex decision making, data collection, management, statistical analysis, report writing, and advocacy skills are highly valued.

Extensive post-graduate clinical experience in providing counselling, groupwork, parenting, and case management interventions is also desirable. An Australian C-Class driver's license is a requirement.

Requirements
