Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Project Officer for the First Nations Heart Health project in South Australia.

As a key member of our project, you will play a pivotal role in improving heart health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This is a maximum term role until June 2027, working part-time (0.8FTE) - 4 days or 30 hours per week.

The successful candidate will possess experience in a health-related field or equivalent, knowledge or experience in community development or health-related fields, lived experience being advantageous. You will also need to demonstrate program and project planning and management skills, as well as understanding of issues, enablers and barriers relating to First Nations Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the First Nations Heart Health Project South Australia project with excellent results.
  • Engage with and foster strong connections and partnerships that support better health outcomes for First Nations people.
  • Develop and deliver culturally appropriate resources, education and training and targeted communications strategy.
  • Prepare and deliver key reports both internally and to the funding body.
