Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with patients who are medically stable and waiting transition to community care. As a Senior Clinical Psychologist/Health Psychologist, you will provide psychological assessments and interventions for individuals with complex medical, functional, and psychosocial needs.

Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, your primary focus will be on consulting on and reviewing Positive Behaviour Support Plans to promote person-centred and trauma-informed care. You will also contribute to staff training, supervision of students, quality improvements, and service development initiatives that align with our divisional purpose of optimising quality of life in rehabilitation, aged care, and palliative care services.

About the Role:
  • Providing specialist psychological services including assessment, treatment planning, intervention, positive behaviour support planning, evaluation, and consultation to patients and their carers individually and in group settings.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary clinical and planning activities to enhance the overall service provided to clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), with an Area of Endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology.
  • Hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision, or eligible to complete PsyBA-accredited supervision training and willing to undertake this training.
  • Experience providing psychological treatments.
  • High level of ability to design, implement, and evaluate psychological procedures and interventions, including psychological assessments, and consultancy services, in relation to complex clients.
