Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist to provide specialized psychological assessments and interventions for patients with complex medical, functional, and psychosocial needs in an inpatient hospital setting.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide a specialist Clinical/Health Psychology service including assessment, treatment planning, intervention, positive behaviour support planning, evaluation, and consultation to patients and their carers individually and in group settings.
  • To participate in interdisciplinary clinical and planning activities to enhance the overall service provided to clients.
  • To develop systems for monitoring, reviewing, and improving the standards of services to clients.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), with an Area of Endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology.
  • Approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision, or eligibility to complete PsyBA-accredited supervision training and willingness to undertake this training.
  • Experience providing psychological treatments.
  • A high level of ability to design, implement, and evaluate psychological procedures and interventions, including psychological assessments, consultancy services, in relation to complex clients.
  • The ability to apply specialist skills in resolving clinical problems.
  • Demonstrated abilities in communication, liaison, and teamwork.
