About the Role

As an Animal Ethics Committee member, you play a crucial role in ensuring the ethical use of animals for scientific purposes.

This position ensures that our committees have the necessary expertise to effectively discharge their responsibilities.

We seek volunteer AEC members to join our committees. Applications are invited for the following categories of membership:

  • Category A (veterinarian): A veterinarian with relevant experience and qualifications.
  • Category C (animal welfare): An individual with a commitment to furthering animal welfare and relevant experience.

Applicants must be willing to attend regular committee meetings, review meeting material, and participate in discussions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for animal care and use.
  • Participate in regular committee meetings and out-of-sessions reviews.
  • Review and provide feedback on animal care proposals.
