About This Role

This is a senior leadership position focused on driving commercial growth and strategy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading contract negotiations, procurement strategies, and subcontractor agreements. They will also identify and drive business development opportunities in the market, manage budgets and forecasting, and oversee variation management and claims resolution.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Negotiations and Procurement: Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop strategic plans, and collaborate with project teams to deliver results
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage project budgets, forecast revenue and expenses, and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Variation Management: Manage variations to contracts, negotiate settlements, and minimize impact on projects
  • Claims Resolution: Investigate, analyze, and resolve claims from clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

What We're Looking For
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial leadership experience within the construction sector
  • Proven ability to manage P&L, negotiate contracts, assess risk, and implement commercial strategies
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to influence project outcomes
