Medical Equipment Technician Role

In our dynamic and supportive work environment, we have an opportunity for a Medical Equipment Technician to join our team in the Central Sterilization Services Department. This role is responsible for handling, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilization, and circulation of Reusable Medical Devices throughout the Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handling, cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilization of Reusable Medical Devices.
  • Providing appropriate reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices in accordance with relevant National and International Standards and Departmental Policies and Procedures.

This role offers the chance to develop your skills and knowledge, contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care, and be part of a multidisciplinary team working together to achieve excellence.

Requirements
  • Qualifications in Sterilising Services Certificate III or relevant experience in sterilising service.
  • Basic understanding of the workings of Sterilising Department and/or Sterile Storage Areas.
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team and independently.
  • Ability to work a 7 day, 24 hour rotating roster.
