
Medical Device Specialist

The primary goal of this role is to provide sterile medical equipment for use in patient care. This involves ensuring that all reusable medical devices are thermally disinfected and meet the required standards.
- Completion of a Certificate in Sterilisation Technology at a recognised educational institution.
- Previous experience working in a sterilising department environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to listen and follow direction.
- A clear understanding of workplace health and safety principles and infection control practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and staff at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all medical devices are processed according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve efficient workflow and high-quality outcomes.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and professionalism within the team.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
What You'll Need:
- Valid Certificate in Sterilisation Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
