Knife Handling and Filleting Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our processing team as a Knife Hand/Filleting Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy working with seafood and are looking for a challenging role in a fast-paced environment.

As a Knife Hand/Filleting Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the filleting and processing team with various duties, including skinning, pin-boning, portioning fillets, and safe food handling practices. You will also be working in a cold temperature environment, which requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure situation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the filleting and processing team with various duties, including skinning, pin-boning, portioning fillets, and safe food handling practices.
  • Work in a cold temperature environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure situation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous demonstrated experience in knife handling, filleting, and/or trimming in meat processing.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.
  • Available to start work immediately.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $30.38 - $33.40 per hour.
  • 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.
  • Overtime pay and penalty rates.

Others:

  • Must have unlimited Australian Working Rights.
  • Successful applicants will need to provide a minimum of 2 current references, a current Police Clearance Certificate, and attend a pre-employment medical with drug & alcohol testing.
