We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Safety Bay and surrounding areas. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting seniors and NDIS customers to remain in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tailored person-centered services and activities to meet the diverse needs of customers
- Work collaboratively with customers, their families, carers, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, their families, and other stakeholders
- Contribute to a safe and respectful work environment, adhering to Chorus' values and policies
- Certificate III Individual Support - Aged Care or Disability, or other relevant qualification
- Experience working with seniors, people on the mental health recovery journey, and those living with disability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to customer safety and well-being
- Current Australian Drivers Licence with no restrictions, and a reliable and roadworthy motor vehicle for travel
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one prior to commencing employment)
- Current First Aid Certificate with 12 months or less currency (or willingness to apply)
- Attractive salary packaging options (up to $15,900 per year tax-free) and an additional $2,650 for Meals and Entertainment
- Hourly rate of $31.04
- Part-time permanent position
