We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pool Instructor to join our team at Canterbury Bankstown Council.

Job Description

This is a casual opportunity with flexible hours, offering a great hourly rate of $35 per hour + 10.5% superannuation. As a Pool Instructor, you will have the chance to work across multiple venues and help children and adults learn the lifesaving skill of swimming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver swimming lessons in line with our Swim School Instructor Manual.
  • Set up and pack up equipment in a timely and safe manner.
  • Participate in Swim School Team Member training.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate ability to swim 25m Freestyle, 25m Backstroke, and 25m Breaststroke.
  • Teach children in a group class environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Current Working With Children Check Clearance number.
  • Current Swim Teacher accreditation from Royal Life Saving, Swim Australia, AustSwim, or other recognized provider.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • COVIDSafe Requirements: Candidates 18 years or older must have three COVID-19 vaccinations. Candidates under 18 years must have two COVID-19 vaccinations and receive the booster upon turning 18.
