Senior System Assurance Expert

Role Overview

Work on high-profile rail projects in Australia, leveraging your expertise in system safety and reliability assurance. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the efficient management and delivery of premium services to clients.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system safety and RAM assurance practices, applied to complex socio-technical systems, particularly in the rail domain. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering advanced system safety and RAM assurance services
  • Coordinating and implementing systems assurance programs of work, including RAMS analysis using tools such as Relyence
  • Leading engineering teams in project delivery to clients within designated practice areas
  • Creating systems assurance management plans (safety and RAM or RAMS) and reports

Required qualifications and experience include:

  • Postgraduate degree in Electrical/Electro-mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or Communication, or similar technical disciplines
  • Professional certifications are advantageous
  • At least twelve years of system safety and/or RAM assurance experience with a proven track record of delivering customer-focused solutions
  • Experience leading multiple/large project teams on system safety or RAM processes
  • Technical skills in DOORS/DOORS Next or other hazard log management tools and system safety and RAM analysis tools such as Relyence

Desirable skills include IBM Rational certification and expertise in other IBM Rational software products, as well as experience in rail and transport projects.

Key Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and judgement skills for solving complex problems, as well as highly developed interpersonal and communications skills.
