Client Service Officer Job Overview:

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an experienced Client Service Officer to provide exceptional customer service to veterans and their families. This role will facilitate access to healthcare and services, supporting the delivery of medical, allied health or dental treatment, home care services and community nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct service to clients, including the veteran community and providers
  • Process client reimbursements for medical expenses privately incurred and manual health payments
  • Liaise with clients and providers to support delivery of medical, allied health or dental treatment, home care services and community nursing
  • Organize provision of rehabilitation aids and appliances
  • Contribute to team goals and work practices, monitoring own performance against team goals

Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship
  • Relevant experience in customer service or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position based in Adelaide
  • Work from office (no work-from-home option)
  • Adhere to a telephone roster

Eligibility:
