Fund Order Services Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fund Order Services Officer to join our team at State Street Global Advisors. As a key member of our Global Delivery Business unit, you will play a critical role in servicing clients in APAC and ensuring the smooth operation of our Order Routing and Valuation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily service delivery and production activities performed by staff, ensuring seamless processing according to fund policies and meeting all SLAs.
- Approve high-value transactions, handle risk emails, and facilitate asset conversions.
- Monitor emails, ensure timely responses, and guide staff to handle queries professionally.
- Build trust and strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Communicate and escalate issues effectively in accordance with escalation protocols.
- Manage KPIs, overtime, turnover, and IDDs.
- Ensure controls, checklists, procedures, and compliance requirements are met timely and accurately.
- Train, develop, and motivate new staff, complete performance appraisals, and build measurable performance rankings.
- Create a systematic training framework to benefit new joiners and cross-support training.
- Identify key talent, guide them to become mature staff or role models, and assist in their career development.
- Conduct regular team meetings and share information and knowledge.
- Identify gaps, risks, and pain points by reviewing processes and utilizing technology to simplify current processes and mitigate potential risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Economics, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8+ years of related Custody and/or Fund Accounting experience, with 2+ years in a management or supervisory role.
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and management skills.
- Good escalation awareness and risk excellence.
- Knowledge of securities language, Corporate Actions, Income & Expense accruals, SEC Yields, Distributions, NAV calculations, etc.
- Prior Mutual Fund accounting experience, including General Ledger analysis and reconciliation.
