About Oak Dam

The Oak Dam copper discovery represents an undeveloped iron oxide copper-gold-uranium mineralised system located in South Australia.

Since its discovery in 2018, we have been advancing resource definition drilling to improve geological knowledge and initiated order of magnitude studies to identify viable development pathways.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to contribute to the Oak Dam Greenfields project as part of the Olympic Dam Strategic Planning and Studies Team.

You will be supporting the Oak Dam Study Manager and will require strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.

Your experience in underground mining, geology, geotechnical or other geoscience-related fields will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Oak Dam Study Manager in maintaining a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Develop and maintain study phase routines for monitoring and reporting of performance metrics.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies through study delivery and approvals processes.
  • Coordinate internal multidisciplinary technical work streams to ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage engineering activities being undertaken by external service providers.
  • Participate and provide input into routine monthly reporting, risk review and key decision-making processes.
About You

We are seeking someone with solid experience in early phase studies or project engineering roles.

A background in mine planning, geotechnical, geology, resource engineering or other geoscience-related fields is essential.

You should possess business acumen and strategic thinking supported by advanced problem-framing and solving skills.

You will also need to clearly communicate complex messages to various audiences.
